Why is this course often referred to as a "60-hour" course?  Is that a minimum or maximum time limit?  Am I going to be timed while taking this course?

We do not monitor your study time.  We do not impose a minimum or maximum time limit for this course.  You may take as little or as much time as you need to successfully complete this self-paced course.  All we ask is that you submit your 2012 exam answers before 3/15/2013.

As mandated by CTEC, this course was designed in such a way that the "average student" should take about 60 hours to complete.  In reality, there are some students who complete this course in as little as 8 hours, while other students require over 80 hours to finish.  Actual study time will depend on one's experience level, background, and study methods.

When you pass the qualifying course, your new CTEC record will be credited with 60 credit hours, regardless of how long you actually took to complete the course.
