Continuing Education for CTEC and the IRS

Upon successful completion of this ONE tax course, California tax preparers are awarded the maximum annual amount of continuing education hours not only for CTEC but also for the IRS.  That is, a currently registered tax professional would have their CTEC account credited with 20 hours and their PTIN account credited with 15 hours after completing this CTEC and IRS course.  For more information on credit hours, click here.

Limited Number of Enrollments

Students who obtain 2014 course materials during the open enrollment period will have until 12/31/2014 to complete their course.  Please note that course materials are NOT distributed year-round.  When we reach our maximum enrollment capacity, we will stop distributing course materials to additional students.  This measure will be necessary to preserve the quality of our service to those students who obtained course materials during the enrollment period.

How it Works

Enroll right now and receive 2014 course materials by email;
read these materials carefully while taking the open-book exam;
mark your responses on the answer form in the Exam Booklet;
submit your completed answer form and course fee by web, fax, or email;
get your test results, certificate, and credits shortly thereafter.

Low Cost

The grading fee is $39.98. This fee is only requested AFTER you complete the open-book exam, so you may freely examine the entire program at no risk before beginning the course.

Pass or Get Your Money Back

About 9 out of 10 students pass this course on their first attempt.  Those who do not pass the 20-hour course get their money back.  Students may retake the exam up to three times, provided that they resubmit their answer form and course fee.
